Dentist — Founder
Tuna Dental Clinic is an oral and dental health practice in Caddebostan, Kadıköy, Istanbul. Its founder, Dt. Şahabettin Tuna, is a graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry and has attended courses, seminars and congresses in Türkiye and abroad in implantology and aesthetic restorative dentistry since qualifying.
Every appointment begins with an examination and, where needed, radiographic assessment. Nothing starts before the treatment plan and its alternatives have been discussed. Knowing why a treatment is needed, how long it will take and what happens if it is not done is the patient's right.
We use digital panoramic radiography, an intraoral scanner and, in aesthetic cases, digital smile planning. These are not showpieces but tools that narrow the margin for error: when an implant's angle is planned on tomographic data, placement rests on measurement rather than estimation.
Radiographic imaging is performed only when clinically necessary and at the lowest reasonable dose.
Not doing a treatment is a better clinical decision than doing one unnecessarily. For early lesions we prefer monitoring and fluoride application over filling something that has not yet cavitated. Gum treatment and regular review come before restorative work.
Every instrument passes through disinfection, ultrasonic cleaning, pouching and a 134 °C steam autoclave. Each pouch carries a sterilisation indicator and is opened beside the chair. Single-use items are discarded after each patient.

Paediatric Dentist
Graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry with a specialisation in paediatric dentistry. Works on decay in milk teeth, preventive treatment and helping children get used to the dental chair without fear.
